Dr. Reghis M. Romero II is the founder of the R-II Group of Companies.

The Group comprises the Harbour Centre Port Terminal Inc., PhilEcology Systems Corporation, and R-II Builders Inc., among others. The three companies have earned a prominent niche in their respective sectors: in maritime port development and operations, integrated waste management, and in construction, as a Quadruple A-accredited conglomerate.

Dr. Romero is also a multi-awarded businessman, visionary developmental entrepreneur, industry and civic leader, sportsman, and philanthropist.

Dr. Romero holds a Diplomate in Real Estate Management, from the Paris-based International Real Estate Federation, or FIABCI (Federation Internationale des Administrateurs de Biens Conseilset Agents Immobiliers).

He has a Doctorate Fellowship in Property and Facilities Management by the London-based Academy of Multi-Skills of the United Kingdom, a listed institution on British qualifications and a member of the Confederation of Professional Awarding Bodies.

At the Asian Institute of Management, Dr. Romero completed the Executive Development Program. He holds a Masters in Business Economics from the University of Asia and the Pacific, and an honorary degree of Doctor of Humanities at the Polytechnic University of the Philippines. He holds a Foreign Service degree from the University of the Philippines.

The incumbent chairman of the Regional Advisory Council of the Police Security and Protection Group and the FIABCI-Philippines, Dr. Romero is also an Auxiliary Commander of the 101st Auxiliary Squadron of the Philippine Coast Guard.

He is country manager of the Dean Bonifacio Romero Foundation, and a member of the board of regents of the PUP as well as of the board of directors of the City College of Angeles.

Moreover, Dr. Romero was Supreme Commander of the Order of the Knights of Rizal from 2012 to 2014 after having served as its Deputy Supreme Commander in 2010-2012.
