Building better lives through technology and industry innovations
Our philosophy also drives our people-centered innovativeness in several key areas.
We were among the first to introduce an aluminum formworks system that helps ensure safety for building occupants, residents, and users. Boosting vertical frameworks’ load-carrying capacity, our system enhances structural integrity while reducing project costs and construction time.
Advocating against policies that prevented the construction industry from narrowing the housing gap, R-II Builders has worked with other sectors in providing more housing opportunities to emerging markets, and in securing VAT exemptions for low-income house purchases.
R-II Builders also advocated for legislation of asset securitization for capital development; eventually, these efforts led to the emergence of the law on asset-backed securities.
On the other hand, R-II Builders resisted the use of derivatives or secondary mortgages as proof of ownership for loans: a rightly prudent stand (as was later borne out by the United States’ 2005 subprime mortgage crisis, and the eventual financial meltdown and 2008 global contagion).
