R-II Builders, Inc.

Clark International Airport Horizontal Infrastructure

Completing crucial airport infrastructure

Envisioned to become Asia’s next premier gateway, the Clark International Airport (CRK) project is a 2,500-hectare aviation complex in what is now the Clark Freeport Zone. This hub is being redeveloped and expanded under a hybrid private-public partnership, the first of its kind for an airport project.

Capable of serving a minimum of eight million passengers a year, the new terminal features new facilities, road networks, and taxiways at Terminal 2.

Effective construction management: upholding jobsite safety and timely work completion

The airport construction component for which R-II Builders was responsible was initially projected to be completed and operational by mid-2020. However, as experienced across regions, industries, and sectors, the COVID-19 public health crisis spurred lockdowns and set off serious supply chain disruptions.

Nevertheless, R-II Builders completed the CRK Terminal 2 road network and taxiway even through the complex logistical and manpower challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Equally significant: even prior to the pandemic, R-II Builders was already delivering its part in the construction of the new Clark facility ahead of the committed schedule, a testament to the Company’s integrity and reliability as a Quadruple A Construction Corporation.
